4 Seasons

I may use these seasonal pieces of work in some collages that I plan on doing. I'd like to incorporate them as part of the background with a series of portraits that I'd like to paint.

Originally these were trading card sized pieces of art, so they were very small at 2 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches. At one time I did have the summer piece printed into some notecards.

Hi, I just discovered your nice blog! I am an art teacher, and hope you'll check out my blog too (though lately, with the start of summer, I've been blogging about everything BUT art lessons :-) My blog is "There's a Dragon in my Art Room" and it's at: http://plbrown.blogspot.com/

Beautiful mini pictures..
You asked how I got the shape of the trough- I made mine in my garden area dirt, dug a hole the shape I wanted and lined it with some plastic-like a garbage bag weight-then just poured in the cement.. and as it thickened I used my hands to move it around --in this case up the sidehills(:)LOL
You can add pretty broken plate, glass beads, shells, etc. before it dries
..it is fun to make them..
I use one for a birdbath--it sits down in my flower bed ..so to watch the birds(:)
.. the lady on my post in her link she shows how to make the square ones too..
hugs and have a fun day ok (:) Patty
